October is finally here! It's birth month
I am so glad that it is finally October. Currently 38 weeks pregnant and really just ready to get back to myself again.
We headed out to take family photos before baby arrives and we had to promise the girls cookies to get them to cooperate. It worked! They shined like they always do and I am so glad we’ll have these memories of them forever. I just love the bond they share and I’m glad they have each other. I know this boy is going to have 3 mamas to watch out for him.
Last week, I thought that birth was imminent. I visited my OB who said I was already dilated and it could be any moment. So I hurried up and got all my last minute items checked off. I was even feeling some strong contractions at night and thought, this is it! I downloaded a contraction app on my phone and was ready to follow the 5-1-1 rule; if your contractions are 5 minutes apart, 1 minute long, for 1 hour then head to the hospital! But this past week, it all ended. Even the Braxton Hicks contractions subsided. It’s now just a waiting game!
Thankfully my blood pressure has remained under control and things are going as smooth as they can be, except for me getting in and out of bed, that’s pretty rough these days!
For now, I’ll just continue to do things normally and when he decides to make his appearance, we’ll be ready!
